Isco and Marco Asensio both scored twice as Real Madrid thrashed minnows UD Melilla 6-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The third-tier outfit held their own in the early stages and Keylor Navas had to be on hand to deny striker Yacine Qasmi's low effort.
But it didn't take long for the floodgates to open when Asensio slalomed between two defenders and finished in the far corner.
The Spaniard got his second just 90 seconds later after some great work from Vinicius Jnr. The Brazilian teenager surged down the left-hand side and cut back for Asensio to sweep home from 10 yards.
The 21-year-old then turned provider for the third, playing a wonderful dink over the top and young centre-back Javi Sanchez finished impressively on the volley. Three goals in the space of six minutes and it was game over.
Four minutes after the restart, Isco, who was named captain on his first start under Santiago Solari, curled a stunning 25-yard effort into the top corner to make it 4-0.
Vinicius Jnr had been threatening all throughout the game and finally got a deserved goal with quarter of an hour remaining, pouncing on the rebound after initially being denied by Pedro Luis.
Melilla got a deserved consolation from the penalty spot when Yacine was brought down by Federico Valverde and the striker made no mistake, powering his spot-kick down the middle past Navas.
But Isco got his second just two minutes later, receiving the ball from substitute Fidalgo and striking into the bottom corner.
It capped a superb performance from the Spain midfielder and perhaps helped his case for a first-team spot.More about: | Isco | Marco Asensio
