A teaser clip for the final series of Game of Thrones has finally dropped.
HBO sent fans into a frenzy, despite the snippet not featuring any footage from the upcoming eighth series.
The video does appear to present symbolic representation of how intense the show will get for the Seven Kingdoms, as the entirety of Westeros can be seen engulfed in fire and ice.
Excited fans were left baffled over the clip, with many begging for a “trailer” that contains hints from the upcoming series.
One user wrote: “Not giving us more. Shame. Shame. Shame.”
Another commented: “I'm not prepared for the end. In any shape or form.”
A third added: “How you drop this s*** and I didn’t see?”
The drop comes after HBO revealed the show will return to screens in April next year.
A recap trailer was revealed alongside the announcement, showcasing crucial moments from the show, and the gripping tag-line: “For The Throne.”
A post on the show's official Twitter account read: “Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death. All #ForTheThrone.”
The concluding six episodes will see an end to the popular show, which first hit screens in 2011 to record success.
HBO programming president Casey Bloys previously confirmed that the prequel fans are waiting for isn’t actually going into production in October, as previously reported.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “I don’t know where that report came from, we’re hoping to go into production in early ’19.”
